i bought it thinking what the heck. its only $30 (i got it on sale). if it sucks, ill just toss it.

ive used it a couple of times now and it DEFINATELY gets the job done.

i start out with low random setting and work my way up. the only bad thing is it doesnt tell you exactly what RPM youre running like some but theres plenty of power there.

comes with a 7in backing plate, foam pad, wool bonnet, terry bonnet, sand paper.

i would reccomend buying better foam pads from autogeek. the one that comes with it is ok and gets the job done.
Careful with that recommendation. Its not a RO polisher, looks like a rotary. Those things can eat up your clear coat in a second if you're inexperienced.

Difference in price usually comes from the engine and vibration elimination that goes into the product. You need to actually push down on these machines for it to work out the swirls. Better machines have motors that can still churn at a consistent rate when pressure is applied.
Absolutely correct. The point of getting a Porter Cable isn't that it is the best polisher. The point is that it is the safest one. In untrained hands a rotary polisher, unlike a dual actional polisher, can damage paint very easily.
