Default show your car has been fixed

as a result of requests from our members, we have been able to get the "show your car" forum (way above in the w&w) fixed so that all "show off" posts should go there.

slanguage and i will be communicating to figure out how to get these moved- for now we need someone to post a "show off" post in there so we can test it out. the problem in the past was that folks could not respond. this has been fixed.

we will be "cleaning up" (good term for a w&w!) the regular w&w board once we are sure that the sub-forum is working (i imagine that we will move many of these posts- a pretty big job)...

so we will have our "regular board" for questions/ answers- tips, etc
and we will have the other board for our show off posts...

stay tuned as we work to improve our board !!

Will people be able to post to "show off" threads, in case they want to ask questions? IIRC, that was one of the problems with the first implementation.

yup, that is the main fix...

but we still need to test it out-
once we have a post in there and we have folks able to respond, we will take the next step of moving the other "show offs"

i have chosen a "test post" from phil...

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=714690

plse take a look at his thread and post a response-
he told me that the only ones that will work are:
"wow, phil- thats an incredible job?"

(yes, i am joking- picking on phil unfairly- but, hey... gotta pick on someone!)

awesome stuff Wanabe - this will surely help to clear things up and keep the W&W forum organized .... if it works.

i just tried to reply to the thread that was moved over, and got this super-awesome message:

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

The error returned was:

Sorry, you do not have permission to reply to that topic
maybe because it was moved there rather than posted there? maybe because i've already replied to it? i dont know...

hope we can work this out soon

hmm. interesting Marc. even if youve posted in a thread once, you should be allowed to post in it again, like threads in the regular forum.

looks like it still needs some tweaking.

thanks for the info.
