I had heard that it can gunk up your windows, so after applying it with a shop towel, I let it sit for about 30 minutes or so, then wiped off the residue, and I haven't had any problems with streaking on the glass or anything.

I apply the Shin Etsu Grease on mine about every 3 months. I put on some latex gloves, apply a little dab on my forefinger, and slide it across the rubber convertible seals.

To keep it from getting on the glass, I ride with the top down about 99% of the time. That seems to keep it from happening to me.

Where can you buy Shin Etsu Grease? Last time i went to the dealership, they put this grease on the hindges of the doors, but when it dried up it turned all white and disgusting....it does not look very appealing
