Default Shampooing/Cleaning Stock Wheels

Any thoughts on solutions/products to use and where i can get them??? I plan on taking each wheel off and giving them a nice deep cleaning.

P21 wheel cleaner, hands down, and at www.sportscarcare.com is where i get all my goods. great prices; quick service, and an S owner.

in fact, i just used it this weekend to clean both my wheels and it did an amazing job on my rotors as well.

If you're actually planning to take the wheels off to clean, then you might want to consider claying them as well. You should use a claybar that you're planning to throw away.

May I suggest a product that works as advertised in my opinion. Pick up a spray bottle of the new DuPont Teflon wheel cleaner. It comes in a black bottle and sells for $6.99 at Advanced Auto. It does a fair job of getting them clean with little scrubbing. However, I would suggest doing a good job on the first application. Rinse and then spray again with a light mist. Rinse again. The theory is that the Teflon helps prevent the brake dust and rust off the rotors from sticking. It really seems to work after a couple of applications.

The P21S wheel cleaner works beautifully. I just spent about 5hrs detailing my wheels today.

*Initial rinse, & wash with soap. Than p21s gel wheel cleaner (works amazingly well) I than claybar'd the wheels, and put a coat of Klasse AIO on them.

IMO i think the claybar was a waste of time. My wheels looked brand new, inside & out after the gel cleaner, and the clay bar didnt even get dirty

I know the fronts of the OEM wheels are clear coated but what about the inside?

The inside looks like you might have to use a metal polish to buff them out ...

What is recommended to keep the insides clean and shiny?

you can use a polish on either insides or outsides...

p21s followed by a light polish (swirl remover or paint cleaner) if needed (the p21s with a wheel brush will usually get the wheels looking pretty new) and then a ccouple coats of a good synthetic to protect...
again, where ever needed- inside or out.
