tekstar, UPP is an acronym for Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection.
Faber, I'm currently washing using a Gilmour foam gun/boars hair brush, drying with a WW towel. It's been a great combo on my last two cars, as well as my wife's current car. Minimal swirls induced...except for the S2000.
My last car would begin showing swirls after a few months - after 6 they were minimal and I think I finally re-polished after 12. But the S shows them after about a week. They're very easily polished out using a finishing pad and polish, but I just don't want to polish the car every week.
After seeing the swirls, I tried using my older method of washing using a sea sponge/two buckets/grit guards. But swirls still appeared relatively quickly.
My MFs have seen a bit of use, so I'm thinking they may be inducing the swirls. I'm going to place an order for some new ones to see if that helps out. But still, they're fine on my wife's and customer's cars. So I'm not sure.
The S has the most finicky clear I've ever experienced. When I first got the car it was pretty hammered from the dealership. I tried Menzerna via rotary and PC - gummed up. Switched to Optimum - gummed up. Tried Poorboy's - again, gummed up. I finally found Meg's 80 series polishes to work best on the paint. Odd, because usually I've experienced gumming-up with 83 when used with the rotary.

Does the EZ detail brush reach all the way inside the AP2 V2 wheels?
I am thinking of getting the EZ and Swissvax brush to do the wheels.
What tools do you use on the face of the wheels?

Faber, yes, the EZ detail brush is able to reach pretty much all areas of the wheel. It's designed so that it can be bent into different shapes. It's the best wheel brush I've come across.
For the face of the wheels I use the EZ brush as well - just a light sweep across the face does it.. As long as you regularly clean the wheels you shouldn't need more. After that, I'll use an old MF to dry them/clean off any remaining dirt.
