tekstar,
The 3M Glaze (though I've never used it) sounds like a polish, which you would use before AIO and SG. AIO you can think of as a chemical cleaner and surface prep for SG, though it really doesn't have much abrasiveness. If you need to get swirls out, then you'd go 3M Glaze, AIO (to remove fillers left by the 3M Glaze, and to provide a better bonding surface for SG), and then SG.
Jaeden, hopefully you can get your paint finish sorted out. I remember when I got a new waffle weave towel in the mail, and used it to dry my car after I did a polish/wash... I had swirls everywhere, and I knew exactly what I dun did .

So after looking at the product information for the 3M stuff (now renamed Perfect-It II Foam Polishing Pad Glaze), it doesn't have any fillers in it, so technically you could use SG right after you polish. I usually go ahead and go the AIO then SG route because I need as much durability as I can get out of my sealants/waxes. Using the AIO before the SG creates a better protective layer on the paint. And my poor car is a DD and sits outside all the time .

i only ask because i just finished putting on a coat of werkstatt prime, and three of trigger.. so i thought i would be able to put this 3m glaze right on top of the trigger. guess it'll just have to wait til next time.

Yea, I DD my S.... Is there any other way???
I don't care what anyone says, but if you QD your car on a regular basis between washes, and you daily drive your car, you WILL get swirl marks.
I don't believe in QD'ing a car that is driven daily because it picks up dust and road debris every single time you drive it, especially daily. That said, all you are doing with QD'ing your car between washes is grinding in that dust and debris into your clear coat, hence the swirls you get every week. The only way for you to QD your car that you drive daily is to QD it at every single red light...
I say, if you daily drive your car, no need for a quick QD because that will be the cause of the swirls. I rather let my car get dirty and wash it correctly every week or every other week.
Mike can get away with QD'ing his S because he doesn't drive it everyday, correct me if I'm wrong...
