Scratches in side view mirrors
Our S2K side view mirrors are plastic, right? I've got some scratches in mine. Why do you suggest I use to try to remove or minimize them? TIA.

i assume that you mean the outside shell- right?
if so, you would use the same polish that you use on the paint, cause thats what it is!!
it is clearcoated paint...
how bad are the scratches?
i like menzerna polishes for light scratch and swirls remover- if you can see a color other than black in the scratch, its more than just a polish solution... those require added repair steps.

Yes, I am referring to the outside shell.
I have a couple of scratches that I can catch with my finger nail. The others are not as deep.
I have a tube of ScratchX. I guess I should try that and see if it helps. I was afraid to try it on the plastic. Thanks.

If you can run your fingernail along the scratch you are not going to be able to remove it.

You can try the scratch x, I have never used it, so I have no input on how it might work for you.
I do agree with above that if you can feel it with your nail, it is too deep. In that situation, your goal should be to soften it and reduce it's noticablility.

You can try ScratchX but I doubt it will do much good if you have serious scratches. Do you have pictures of the problem area? I agree with Wanabe that Menzerna polishes are top notch.
