Scratches on Exhaust Tips
I recently purchased a Comptech exhaust and there are scratches on the tips. I'm guessing the previous owner must have backed into something.
Any suggestions on how to get the scratches out? Also, how do you polish the muffler and whatnot. It's stainless steel. Looks dirty, but with some TLC, I'm sure they'd look great again.
Thanks in advance!!!

Metal polish (sold in auot and jewelry stores) is typically just a tarnish/oxidation remover. Before anyone suggests that, it won't work.
You need metal polishes and a buffing wheel to get scratches out. This isn't as easy as pulling out the paint polishes and a PC. To get scratches out of metal the surface needs to be leveled, which usually means starting with sandpaper or a grinder. Metal polishing is a whole different ballgame.

Snowing? There isn't a cloud in the sky in Columbus.
Take a macro pic so we can see it up close. Then go beat timmy over the head for selling you a beat up exhaust.
