scratched windshield
It started raining hard up here in norcal so today I was driving in the rain with the wipers on, after a while I noticed this line of scratch perpendicular to the movement of the wiper on my far left side of the windshield. I dunno how it formed there. would that because I have a dirty wiper? but it would have scratched up the glass along the line of movement instead of what I have right now. it is a very light but noticeable 'scratch', I dunno how to call it but I can feel it got a little rough, or less smooth I would say than the other part of the glass, when I ran my fingertip, not nail, on it. the line is pretty long- as long as the wiper blade- and I definitely want to get rid of it.
is glass polish the thing that i need for moval? i dont have a porter cable so I am going to do it by hand, which glass polish do you guys recommend? I don't want to make it worse so I want to make sure I know what I am doing. any help would be appreciated guys

last one i used was the zaino glass polish... and i did use it with the pc.
mainly used it to get off all the little calcium deposits and small marks- glass polish wont get out scratches that are very deep. definitely worth a try, but i think that you will find fairly quickly that any polish by hand is hard to do-
