scratch on my dash
my g/f wanted us to transport a picture frame in my S the other day... I told her it wouldn't fit in the trunk (I was right), so she said she'd just ride with it in front of her in the passenger seat. Anyway despite me telling her no she gets in and hits the dash with the corner of the metal frame, leaving a 1" long scratch. It's very minor and can't really be felt with your hand. Is there some way I can get this to dissappear? It's on a black dash. I tried a little zaino leather in a bottle because it says it can be used on vinyl too, but that didn't seem to cover it up. Thanks in advance.

... try a vinyl product (303 or vinylex). if that does not work, then you need a bigger gun.
the bigger gun that first comes to mind is scratch off.
edit of above:
just noted that the scratch is very minor...
first try meguiars plastic cleaner. if that doesnt work then meguiars plastic polish. then, if those dont work, spend the money (about $60) on the scratch off.

Thanks wanabe. I have both the meguiars polish and cleaner so I'll give those a try. Should I use the 303 or vinylex first and then move on to the meguiars, or did you mean skip the 303 when you put in your edit? Thanks.

I would try a product called Bumper Back...I purchased it at Kragen several years ago and it works great for me. I have had a couple of scratches on my left door panel of my brand new blue interior and used it along with maguiars vinyl protectant and I no longer have the scratches.
