Also what did u paint it with. did u use a spray gun or something else.
touch up paint pen/brush... it'll be the easiest way of getting the paint to match up colorwise and not make a big mess since you're just touching up on paint chips

every time i read this thread i think to myself that this has to be a "top 10" thread...

its a great read- from beginning to end and to see how thetz99's thoughts evolve.

this time, after reading, i just had to add my continued appreciation and move it back up!

Great thread!

I tried the clay bar technique last night and it did a great job of leveling the paint. Much easier than sanding.

However, I've got an issue with the touch up paint itself.

I performed this on a 2006 New Formula Red S2000 using the factory touch up paint (code R-510), but the touched up areas are significantly darker than the original paint. The OP mentioned that the touch up paint ended up being slightly darker, but it is quite noticeable on my repair. Does the NFR factory touch up paint lighten as it cures?

It should over time cure and lighten slightly. The problem you are facing right now is the fact that four year old paint is never going to truly match fresh paint. Over time, with proper waxing, polishing and cleaning, it should match.
