Default Santa Ana Winds!

well i havent washed the car for 2 weeks. (gets dark to dark when i get back from work.) and on top of that we are in the windy season.

should i wash the car still? or will dusting with california car duster suffice until it stops being so windy?

thanks

depends on how it lives... if its outside uncovered, it should be washed. if it lives indoors then maybe it can be dusted and detail sprayed.
can you wash it on weekends?

once you wash it, you can keep it clean by dusting and detail spraying... just be sure to keep it covered (mine is in my garage under a cover right now)

i just detailed mine this weekend and it's all dusty. I checked the weather and they said that the wind will die down tomorrow and day after that. I usually wash it every friday after work anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

I would definitely wash it and not brush. You are getting fine silt and mixed PICs all over the car when it is out in that wind. I use a cover and I can see the silt come through the overlapped seam weave after a rain. The ash is the least of your worries, but some of the partially burned stuff seems to 'stick' to the paint.
