Sanding backing plate for PC
Have had my PC for a year now and love it. Works great on the S and the Daily Driver.
I am also into woodworking and one of my finishing sanders died. Wondering if anyone knows how well the PC works for finish sanding and what the part number would for the appropriate hook and loop backing plate. Or can I just buy a CCS backing plate (don't have one right now since I use the EDGE pads).
THanks for any info.

yes, it is actually a sander that's marketed as a polisher.
i wouldn't use one for both though.
am on the road, so don't have my pc info with me... answer might be here for the backing plate- and maybe not:

wanabe - Thanks for the reply. Your link has all the part numbers I am looking for.
Why wouldn't you use it for both? Obviously I will have to take the air compressor and blow out all the saw dust prior to puttin the edge adapter back on, but what other concerns would you have?

The PC was originally designed for sanding work, so it's a great tool for that. I've used mine once to do some sanding, and was able to use the same 5" velcro backing plate (purchased from autogeek.net) that I use with my pads. Just pick up one of those and some velcro sandpaper from Home Depot and you're good to go
