Default Safe topical adhesive removers?

Is there a list of safe topical solvent removers anywhere? I am having difficulty with the gooey tape under the side badges I just removed.

I've heard to use:
Citrus-based cleaner, specifically "Disolves-it" - unsatisfactory
Isopropyl alcohol - also unsatisfactory
3M Adhesive remover - can't find that

What about "Goo Gone" or "Un-Do" or butter or cooking oil... is there a list of tried products that didn't hurt the paint? Any personal recommendations that are tried and true?

Goo-Gone which is citrus-based. Worked out fine for removing the side badge ca-ca, and no problems whatsoever on my paint.

i used the old-fashioned "finger-nail" tool !!
worked perfectly.

i know that some use wd-40 oddly enough-

just be careful if using fingernails and dont forget to rewax after the badges are installed.

WD-40 works good for me. It's flammable so don't be smoking when you use it. Don't use it near any open flames either.

"Bug and Tar Remover" works great and won't hurt the paint. But you'll need to rewax that area.

OK, well that didn't work so good. :| Will GooGone work for removing stripes? I have a Pathfinder going through a makeover that I'd like to lose the stripes on.

Brain fart - I left out a word:

"DON'T be smoking"

I just used WD-40 to soften the adhesive to remove the Honda badges (installed Rick's badges). It made the job 1000% easier than when I removed the S2000 badges without WD-40.
