303 doesn't make water bead on the top in my experience.
Hhhmm....no flame intended, but water beads well on my 303 protected top. I have used Vinylex in the past also. It beads well.

Just my personal experience. I found the 303 would not bead the water instead the 303 would tend to wash off in the rain.
