rubber trim on sheetmetal that interfaces with the
Hi, I've got some scuff marks (maybe from someone buffing the car?) on the black rubber trim on the sheetmetal that butts up against the convertible top. It seems to be made of solid rubber. How do I get that out without having to replace it? Can it be polished (find sanding)? Is there porosity inside that rubber that will be exposed if polished? Or am I looking at having to replace that part?
Thanks,
Young

rubber and vinyl is very difficult to polish- there are plastic polishes out there, but they usually are good for stains and very light scratches. probably worth trying on what you described.
definitely try to polish before you replace-
will try to find some links to products and post em back for you.

here is one:

i would prob try it by hand first... if that doesnt work, a power ball (you gotta tape the car so that no paint is visible near the plastic) with that product would be my second attempt...
