Rock chips, Zaino, pc?
I am trying to fix some rock chips on my car (which btw I read some good and bad things about Honda touch up paint) when I get back in San Antonio. With that said, would Zaino be enough after sanding the blob or do I really need a pc to the job right? Also, I did a search and a guy said claying (compare to sanding) would work just as well for leveling off the blob... any opinions? Thanks for all the help.

I havent had to repair any rockchips yet, but from my reading, clay would not be abrasive enough to level the paint repair down to blend it to the panel paint.
You do NOT need a PC, just some patience and dedication.
1) wetsand (1500 or 2000 grit) it to level it out
2) compound
3) polish
4) repeat 2-3 if necessary to blend
This is a very good writeup on repairing deep chips/scratches and goes into much more detail (and experience) than I can give.

I really want to go with something else other than sanding, perhaps claying and langka, so I don't jack the paint up too bad. btw, does anyone have experience with langka?

One of clays first uses was as an overspray remover on paint. Leveling out a paint blob is not as far fetched as you would think...just don't let the paint blob cure for more than half a day.
PS I have a full kit of langka for sale. pm me

Yea I am very interested in using the clay idea first.... is there a special kind of clay (grade, etc) or any would do? Do you have pics of the clayed touched up spots? Thanks for the help.
