Came up with the same phone number stenoslave did. There is also an "In Store Only" retail outlet at www.vettewrench.com. If you want the car detailed with Zaino products, call "Vince" at 847.251.9400.

If your looking for killer looks and don't mind waxing more often try P21S, Meguiar's Medallion, and a detailer's favorite Pinnacle Souveran.

bakeman,
If a wax based product is applied over Zaino, you will lose at least two of the characteristics many of us enjoy about Zaino.

1. You will lose clarity. Wax based products are not clear because of the yellow tint inherent in the wax itself, so that you are really looking at the finish through a filter. Zaino is nearly 100% optically perfect. The gloss you get from waxing is not the wax, it is the oil used to deliver the wax which leads to point number two.

2. You will lose durability. The oils used to deliver waxes will eventually break down Zaino reducing its durability. It is not uncommon for the oil used to contain silicone, whether the manufacturer tells you that or not. The silicone is there to produce gloss.

Can someone scan or post relevant excerpts? It seems like this may be a case where "Number 1" depends on which category and/or how the different tests are weighted WRT each other. So far it sounds like Zaino is very durable but P21S is better looking at first.

BTW you can buy P21S for 14.95 list (instead of around 22-25 bux for P21S) at any Harley Davidson dealer!! They call it S100 and it comes in the same basic container, but with a different label.

4) After calling Zaino and leaving a detailed message as to what other options I had (sorry, i am NOT sending a check through snail mail, this is the year 2002, ok) suggesting paypal or other means of a money transfer...nobody returned my call and that was well over a week ago.

I don't care if it's as good as everyone says it is, it's just not worth the hassle. Just my 2 cents...

Whats wrong with mailing a check?? He mails it out same day he recieves your check, it only took 8 days to get my Zaino order filled. Is is really that bad?? Why is that a big hassle?

Hmm...it looks like both of them won "best in class".

P21S seems to basically look "better"... Maybe P21S would be better for shows as its instantly at it's best. It stays awesome for about 3-4 weeks and slowly fades. Zaino stays on but never looks as good and seems to look it's best a week or so later. Durability versus ultimate appearance?

Well, I'm a Zaino user, and I must say it's the most amazing shine I've ever seen.

As for buying it, the Bay Area distributor, Steve Paski, DELIVERED IT TO ME AT MY OFFICE! He works nearby and offered to drop it off. Now THAT'S customer service.

If you do a search on Zaino and credit card, there are some regional distributors that accept credit cards and will mail anywhere.
