i don't think that was the particular thread that showed how people patched it. i know some people used teflon tape on parts of sharp edges of the top frame. i've also seen some spray sealant people have gotten from local auto parts stores. finding these threads though...

nothing about a good repair. seems like there is plenty on the cause and how the prevent it (but both those things seem obvious to me). i may just try some tape (from the inside) and some RTV.
