Default Repair Hole in Soft Top

I have a small slit in my soft top (seems wear related, not as a result of vandals or anything). It is very small (doesn't seem to let rain in), but I can hear air coming thru at speed.

I read most of the thread in the how-to section, but it seems more related to replacing the top or getting honda to replace the top.

What I am interested in is a patch kit or something that will cover the slit and 1) stop it from letting air or water thru and 2) prevent it from growing.

I'd like a kit that goes on the inside of the top to avoid an unsightly patch. I know it isn't perfect, but I expect I'll only have my S2000 another 2 years or so. And if it stays longer I will get a hard top anyhow.

Thanks in advance.

I saw an S2000 on the streets of lower Manhattan that showed evidence of home repairs. The slits (vandalized) were stitched closed. I never met the owner. Just saw the car as I was walking to work.

Check the "Tell Honda" forum. The link is in there.

I went to a local upholstery shop and they patched it up for $20. They had some vinyl fabric and used some sort of spray adhesive to patch it from the inside.

That's it but, don't just fix the top fix the reason the top gets torn.

I understand now what the cause is, but I am thru the first page of posts and see nothing about how to patch the hole. I dont want to spend the money on a whole new top.

I figured there was a good patch kit out there.
