Default Removing "s2000" emblem on fenders...

I am about to start the whole removing of the s2000 emblems on my fenders. I have done some research and how found that the best way to remove the s2000 emblems is to use fishing line. I am however, UNSURE on how to remove the 3M sticky tape, or whatever it is that is used to bond the emblems to the fenders, WITHOUT hurting my paint/clearcoat. ANY advice would be appreciated. thank you very much.

try using some Goo-gone or adhesive remover.

you should've read around a bit more, that information was given every thread about removing emblems. if not 80% of them.

I used dental floss to cut the two sided tape and then GooGone to remove the adheasive. It takes forever, but looks awesome.

Use your finger to rub any of the "foam" left behind the emblems then use goo gone. The goo gone wont do much until the top foam layer is gone.

I had luck with 3m adhesive remover spray. Just do the fishing line while its warm to make it easier then spray it and rub it off. Spray wont hurt your paint and works better than goo gone in my opinion.

Any idea if the emblems would remove easier if a heat gun was applied? IMO, i would NEVER use gasoline/paint thinner on ANY PART of my vehicle, unless i'm trying to remove axle grease from my wheels or undercarriage. That'll EAT the crap right outa your paint/clearcoat!
Thanks for all of the advice people-

WELL.... i don't know if im ####IN handicap or what... but i just snapped 2 different fishing lines on my first try. Anything else people have used instead of the fishing line to remove the emblems from the fenders?
