Default removed tape around windshield frame

I hope this is the right forum. If not pls. direct me. Or better yet, mods pls move
to the right forum.

I removed the black tape around the windshield frame and the adhesive from the
tape is left on several areas around it. I need to find out what is the best way I can
accomplish this. Any solvent/solution available that I can buy that's safe to do this?

I tried heat gun but not successful enough.

thanks,
Bob

try some bug and tar remover or citrus based cleaner such as goo be gone. Just make sure you wash the area thoroughly with soap and water after.

i know u already did yours but when i did mine last week, it was about 50 degrees outside and i did mine fairly slow and hardly left some sticky stuff...Anyways, what i used was just a regular isopropyl alcohol over the counter. Dip the cotton balls in there and soak it for a bit and wipe them off. It comes pretty easy.

thanks for all the response.

I was able to get it off using "Goo gone" + some elbow grease.
