Remove the driver seat
My son spilled milk on the side of my driver side carpet. May be under the seat as well. From the sun, it created an awful smell. I need to remove the seat to clean it off. I see there should be only 4 bolts to hold the seat. If you have taken the seat off in your pass and have any tips, suggestions and/or warnings, please advise.
Thanks in advance.

Yup, that's it.
Are you removing the carpet as well? That is a little more of a process. It isn't too difficult though. I just finished doing that a few weeks ago.

Oh...There might be a couple wires attached under the seat, so check that first before you yank out the seat. Mine has the factory keyless entry/alarm under the seat...and I believe there is an SRS sensor under there as well. But I have a MY00, so I don't know if it is the same for your car.
This is only on the drivers side. There were no wires on the passenger side.

my recollection is that a torque wrench is advised for the reinstall...
and yes, if you have an alarm it might be attached to the drivers seat (mine is), so there are wires to be careful with.
mine was out last week - but for alarm repair.
some real wackos take the seats out to detail their cars (or so they tell me). i still need to do that.

From the shop manual, I can see the seat belt sensor. I had heated seat installed too. Not sure what kind of wire down there. Will be very careful as your advises.
Thanks again.

Some vehicles have airbags sensors in the seats. You should disconnect the battery before starting, but when you unplug the seat wiring harness with airbags or airbag sensors, the computer senses this and trips the light (s) and/or message which must be reset by the dealer when you
