Recommendation for cleaning Aluminum
I have an after market Koyo Radiator thats stained on the top side by spilled Rad. fluid, water, dust , ect. Ive tryed using some chrome and metal polisher but nothing seems to get these stains off . Has anyone else had this problem in the past and know how to take these stains off? Thanks in advance ..

john- i have been using thor stainless cleaner and another one (blanking on the name) from my wife's kitchen supply lately.
stainless (or aluminum) cleaners are good for most stuff, but wont get stubborn stains...
for those you gotta go light polish.
for example, tried several metal products and even tar removers trying to get stuff off of the bottom of mrs wanabe's motorcycle exhaust pipes- worked and worked... got better but didnt get it. had to move on to more aggressive polishes.
lotsa good metal polishes out there. let me find some and post em back

If the surface is dull and lacks luster even after polishing you might have to try an aluminum acid wash and then a cleaner/polish. These products are available at Rv centers or anywhere aluminum trailers are sold.
