Re-applying emblems/badges
So I did a full detail on my car a couple weeks ago but I didn't take off the emblems. I'd like to take them off and get a good detailing behind because the car REALLY NEEDS it. It's very dirty behind there.
Is there a trick to reapplying them in the right spot? I'm thinking it will be visibly obvious where to put them but if I can get it clean enough how would I go about re-applying them in the correct spot? Any tricks you guys know of?
Also, I couldn't find any recommendations on what adhesive to use?
And lastly, can I re-use my old emblems or should I buy new ones?
Thanks!

Use paper masking tape to locate the position on the body, one strip underneath the emblem, and two small strips to locate the sides. If you use fishing line you can easily slice through the adhesive on the back of the emblems. Use a sawing motion and you should have them off easily. If the trim tape is in decent shape you can simple reattach the emblems afterward. If not buy some 3M Trim tape, apply it and your good to go.

I think I may even do some before-and-afters on this one... behind my emblems looks so fugly!
