Default Random Orbital Polisher...Simply Amazing

I bought a random orbital weeks ago but didn't use it until this past weekend.

All I have to say is WOW - I know Sal doesn't recommend using a polisher but I put on one coat and didn't go through more than 3/4 OZ of Z2...and the application? Well I had always had trouble when I did this manually getting full coverage on the paint - it seemed like when I applied the Z it would go on in wide strips with narrows gaps between then. I never overcame this problem. The Random Orbital however is another story. Fully coverage on the entire paint job, haze everywhere, easy to take off too. Took 15mins on and 15 off...simply amazing. I recommend getting one to anyone who hasn't done so and is serious about caring for their car!

good post...
i echo your positive remarks-
i use the porter cable
i really dont think that a hand app or buff is nearly as good as the machine- the machine can get to perfect, and i have a hard time getting there by hand

I purchased a Turtle Wax one at Home Depot - very simple, no variable speeds. The name was credible so I figured what the hell - $15

When I get some $ I'm gonna get a PC

on mine... I do like 1/2 oz for 1 layer of z2.
