RaggTopp Cleaner & Protectant
I bought my car used(MY04) about 8 months ago and have not applied anything to the top. It appears it was not treated before i got it either. It was very dull, almost brownish and did not repel water at all. After reading it appeared that the RaggTopp product was the product of choice so that is what I ordered. I went to the car wash and soaked the top and the then sprayed on the cleaner and let it sit for about 5 minutes while i washed the rest of the car. I then used the brush and scrubbed to remove the dirt. I finished the car and drove home. after i got home the top was dry and i used the applicator pad and soaked it in the protectant and i wiped it down and repeated it once more. Overall, i dont think it got any "cleaner" from the cleaner as i couldnt tell any difference. I think my top was just faded and not so much "dirty" since i wash my car weekly or more often than that. The protectant brought back much needed "black" to my car and didnt leave that nasty shine that you see on some tops,..i think maybe its that people actually armor-all their tops....??? And as you can see from the pics,...the top repels water now, although it doesnt bead off like a freshly waxed hood, its the best i could hope for for a convertable top. On with the pics
before the wash
after the wash
after the 2 coats of protectant

nice report- the repellancy looks almost normal. (normal would be with that drop in smaller drops- but it looks like you are very close)
next time you wash the car, put on more of the raggtopp protectant...
you will get the "new top" look and feel back again!
and, hey- i look forward to more pics of your whole car (followed by a pm to me for a wacko badge ) !

I usually just rinse the top off since my car is almost always in the garage but today I washed and sprayed it with 303. I then wiped it down twice as it dried and it looks good.
