Default Quick ZFX Question

What is the volume of these vials? Where is the 2 oz mark? They seem much more than 2 oz bottles.

Thanks!

There isn't really a 2 oz mark. You really don't need to be exact or accurate with your mixing anyway. I'll put in 3-4 drops of zfx when filling the mixing bottle to 75-80%

I agree that this does not have to be exact. Just want to make sure I am in the ball park.

The docs indicate 4-5 drops of ZFX per ounce. I am pretty sure that 75% of the mixing bottle is more than an ounce.

The web site implies that the mixing bottles are 2oz.

Yeah, but I really found that it's overkill to use that much ZFx, at lease in a heated garage

koala,

How many coats do you get out of an 80% full mixing bottle?

I get 1 coat out of a 1/2 full or just under 1/2 full bottle.

never did more than 1 in a day (that's a lot of work, man!)

3 coats, easily... with extra.

You don't apply zaino thick at all, very thin.

I found the best thing to do is the following:

1.) Get yourself a sharpie and a ruler.
2.) Measure the halfway point, and mark it with the sharpie.
3.) Next, measure the half point of each half, and mark it with a sharpie
4.) Now, you have the bottle marked off in 0.5 ounce increments.

Doing it during the day here in So. Fla, I found that I can mix 0.5ozs of the Z5 with 2-3 drops of the ZFX, and get 2 coats on the car with that.

If I were you, don't mix too much if you don't plan on doing a bunch of coats in one sitting...you can't really reuse whatever's left over.
