Question On "Buffer"
so i dont have money for a PC just yet...and i've been eyeing this "6 inch random orbital buffer" at walmart for around $30. i dont expect to get PC results, but if i use this to take off the basic over the counter wax? i just dread laying on wax to only then take it off by hand?
Thanks Guys

I wouldn't waste your money. Apply your wax in thin coats and don't let it dry too long and it will be a breeze to take off with a decent microfiber towel. You're better off spending your money on a wax that's easy to take off like P21S, DP Max Wax, or Pinnacle Signature Series if that's your concern.

the easiest wax i know of is p21s-
wipe it on, then wipe it off... go to the next section and repeat until the car is done.
if you can spend a bit more time, synthetics will last longer and give better protection. and if you have even more time, i top my synthetics with wax!
---
you can use a machine to apply or remove wax, and thats a great way to get "machine feel" for polishing (the most difficult detailing process).
if you use the machine, you would apply with a "no cut pad" and remove with a lambswool pad under a microfiber bonnet.
agree that the most important part of waxing is putting on a very thin layer. same applies to synthetics.
