Thumbs up Question about Autoglym HD wax..

As i can tell my car has never been waxed before. It has only 6k miles and allways garaged and paint still looks like it just came out of the factory.I am the second owner and i highly doubt that the first owner ever waxed it.

I went ahead and bought a Autoglym HD wax from Walmart today. Its recomended by many people here so i decided to give it a try.

So my Q is if this is a good idea for a paint that has never been waxed before. My car GPW btw, which is hard to get shiny.Any thoughts and advices??Thanks in advance

Of course it's a good idea to wax the car, assuming that you intend to drive the car and expose it to the elements. Showcars may not need to be waxed, but cars that get driven certainly do.

Though I have never used AutoGlym HD, I have certainly read many good reports about it. You should consider first claying the car and then cleaning the paint surface with a paint cleanser (e.g., P21S Paintwork Cleanser, Lusso Oro Pre-wax Cleaner, Adam's Revive Polish), cleaner wax (e.g., Meguiar's ColorX, Duragloss 501), or polish (e.g., Meg's SwirlX). This will enhance the gloss and maximize the adherence of your AutoGlym HD wax. Apply all products with a foam applicator. Foam applicators are gentler on the paint than microfiber applicators, in my experience.

Spend a day cleaning up and waxing your S2K. You won't regret the time spent!

^^Thanks bro..yeah i did detail my car this weekend.Put 2 coats of Autoglym HD wax and am very happy with the results.Car sure looks superb and clean.I also aplied Lexol Vinylex on the plastics, rubber and vinyl soft top.It feels very sleek now and looks real black. On the seats i put Lexol leather conditioner and protectant. The leather absorbed the Lexol immediately since was the first time ever to condition them. There was no excess cond. to be buffed off.Feels very soft and has a non-greasy look,as well as the dashboard.Very happy overal with the outcome of the detail.
