OK, I was too chicken to try the PC on the Miata first. We have a 6 year old CRV that has been pretty neglected, including some scratches from my daughters dancing on the hood in plastic play high-heels. So I decided to see what I could do on it, in order to learn the process and the PC.

Pics soon.

Pics:

Side of the CRV - Hood was worse

Another View

Hood has been done

And is now a shiny red mirror

Stopped at the door joint - light was getting iffy for photography

Now to get all the rock chips taken care of Didn't know there were so many until after this polish.

On to the Miata tomorrow - it's swirled, but does not have deep scratches like the CRV did.

Thanks.

Today was Miata day - I had some problems with both the PC and product (and most likely, the User!) - see the Masking tape thread ( or a mod might want to merge them) Anyhoo - here we go - not all swirls out by a long shot, but best I could do for now:

Some befores:

After 2x SSR2.5 and 2x SSR 1 and 2x Zaino Z5 + ZFX...

Looking much better I think, but I am far from satisfied. What you see is about 6 hour's work. and one tired photographer

How come you said in the other thread you have no choice but to work outside? I can see a garage peeking out in one of these pictures.

With the dust SSR2.5 throws? I'd be cleaning the garage for a month

That's funny. But in all seriousness it's much easier to get a good result detailing indoors than out.
