Default Products for swirls that I can get at local store

I just bought the s2k yesterday, but unfortunately the paint itself is not as great as I thought when I bought the car. There are swirls from the front to the rear bumper. What's a product that I can buy at the local stores like autozone or napa to get rid of these swirls? thanks in advance!

I'm guessing since you are insisting on getting products locally that you don't have and have never used a buffer.

In that case, you won't be able to get rid of them. Filling them will be your best strategy. So, buy a good glaze like Meguiar's #7 Show Car Glaze or 3M Imperial Hand Glaze and also a good carnauba wax like Meguiar's #26 or Mother's California Gold (make sure not to buy the cleaner wax).

These products will temporarily hide your swirls but it's a short term solution. Also, depending on how deep the swirls are these products may not hide them 100%.

That depends . . . where do you live? The location field in your profile is not filled in.

Wish I could help you but I don't know of any places in Dallas. I can say though that IME you cannot find what you need locally. There is a very limited market for "enthusiast" type detailing products so local places that carry these items are few and far between. You could likely find "professional" level products locally but they are usually sold in quantities larger than you would ever need and would be more difficult to use and possibly damaging to your car if used incorrectly.

Your best bet really is to bite the bullet and order on-line. There are plenty of GREAT on-line detailing stores and with the x-mas sales starting up you can get some really good deals in the next month or so. Typically, you have to pay shipping but you don't have to pay sales tax which helps offset the shipping expense.

No problem! I have no patience for ordering on-line myself. I HATE waiting for UPS/FEDEX to deliver my package especially if it is coming from Florida or California (4-5 days yuck!!). But a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

3m makes a really good product called 3m swirl mark remover but, you can only get it at a body shop paint store. Or ebay has it.

you'll need to machine this product into the paint. I have this product and by hand is no go You can buy these at your local paint shop though. Its in a black bottle and the polish is blue
