Default Product Review

So I've been really busy but found time to clean the S and my friends RX8 today. We were all out of wheel cleaner so I picked up some EagleOne All Wheel & Tire Cleaner from Advance Auto parts just to try something new. It claims to have a "spray on rinse off" formula which sounded convenient. The top cap twists to a locking position which is kinda cool if you happen to lose the over cap or break it (which I did on accident). I chose this over other products on the shelf because it's in a pressurized can and not in a spray bottle. My hand tends to cramp from squeezing the pump for some reason. Anyway on with the pictures!

Here's a likeness of the brush I've been using for my wheels. I find it gets between the spokes and whatnot nicely. Also, it doesn't do a bad job on the exhaust pipes

Here is my dirtiest wheel (fr dr side)

One thing I liked about this stuff was that it foams (similar to scrubbing bubbles). Here is the foaming in action.

And after a bit of a scrub and a rinse

and one in direct sunlight (before tire dressing)

I also used it on my exhaust tips but didn't take any before pictures of the S2000 so I took some of the RX8
Before

After a scrub and rinse (sorry about the black and white, I didn't realized I had changed it till after I uploaded the pics. Hopefully you can notice the difference though)

Overall I like this product. It does everything it's supposed to (foam and clean) and it's fairly idiot proof (the locking top got me for a second). I'd suggest not using it in direct sunlight and doing one wheel at a time and rinsing before moving onto the next. As an added bonus, it does a pretty good job on the exhaust tips. Give it a try if you're out of your normal product.

The cost was around $5 or $6 a can (about on par with everything else they had). I've used the Hot Rimz stuff (I think thats what it's called) and some Advance Auto store brand wheel cleaner. Both were in spray bottles which I now prefer less than the pressurized can.

I was pretty satisfied with it as well when tryed it 4 months ago.

BTW You guys use these on your exhausts?!? I always thought we would get some sort of discoloration. So am I good to go with spraying wheel cleaners on my HKS-Hipower?

I don't know how safe it is, but I do know that it'll clean em up

Maybe Wanabe will be able to shed some light on this question
