Pressure washer
Hey Everyone,
I was planning to buy a pressure washer but I have heard of people saying it is not good for your paint and clear coat ect...
The pressure I'm planing to buy is up to 2000 psi and it is adjustable. Can anyone please give me advice on pros and cons of the pressure washer? I would really appreciate it. Thank you

There's a lot of forums that already discuss this, I have one and a lot of other people have pressure washers as well. Granted it's pretty new and I haven't tried it on my car, but I'm planning to. Just make sure you don't use direct pressure or get too close to it.

I love my pressure washer ... got a wicked little Karcher off of Kijiji a couple months back ... love hooking up the foam gun attachment ... foaming the entire car, then indirectly rinsing it w/ the pressure washer ... cleans up the tires really nice with minimal effort ...

Use logic, if you have paint chips you don't want to be spraying them with pressure. Using a pressure washer is great especially on cars with caked on crud for long periods of time such as 90% of neglected cars. Foam Cannon = win with pressure washer.

didn't like the pressure i was getting from the garden hose with a foam gun so i've since switched over and have been using a foam cannon for quite some time now with better results...suds better and rinses off quicker. pressure washer should be safe as long as you're not spraying directly too close to the paint.

I have tried my foam canon yet, but I agree the foam gun seemed really awesome at first but the novelty wore off pretty quickly. Word of advice, get some high-quality quick connects - saves you a LOT of time.

I have always been told and seen online that the least amount of pressure, the better. Now I just use a regular hose with no sprayer nozzle or anything.
