This is Mikes TSX from JDMUPs. Mike gave me a call last week, let me know he was going to HIN(today actually) and was interested in a sponsorship and wanted me to do the work since I support their shows. So I hooked him up with a Presidential Exterior Detail in exchange for some coverage at the show! Now, this car was actually in pretty rough shape after I REALLY looked at it. The car had a TON of fallout and I spent nearly the entire day inspecting every inch of the car with a clay bar in hand..talk about going cross eyed staring into white paint all day! I worked long and hard on this one to have it done in time for him to leave to Miami today, its turned out great! Enjoy!

How many clay bars did you go through to get that thing clean enough for polish?

I just did one that was a disaster. It's my buddy Mark's tow vehicle. Mark owns a business that's a wheel and alignment place, and the truck lives in front of there. So I'm claying this thing - a huge Dodge crew cab pickup - and the clay just keeps picking up stuff. I went through like three clay bars getting this thing right!

Then it occurred to me. Right next to Mark's business, and his parking spot for the truck, are the train tracks that run through town, which are very active. The Amtrak station is a block away.

Lost my arse on that detail, mostly on having to use all that clay on it. I guess that's part of the game.

The black stuff on the rear fender wells are tire shine from past details (I used to get that all the time on my white cars).
