Default Post your best car wash place

I'd like to start this thread due to weather situations. Because I live on the east coast. it tends to snow and due to inclement weather I can't wash my vehicle as often as if it were spring or summer.Anyways i thought it would be a good idea if everyone would post their reputable car wash place/s ....

You would be better off posting this in your regional forum.
To answer your question - my driveway. I never take it to any car wash.

I have never taken a car to a car wash, I've always done it myself.

But because of the cold weather it's not always practical or sensible to be out in the driveway in the snow. In a pinch you could just go to one of those coin operated self-service things and give it a quick once-over to get the salt and grime off.

You have a flamesuit on? NO ONE should take their car to a car wash EVER!

So to answer your question, I wash it in the garage with warm water. For quick touch ups (had to drive home from work yesterday with an inch of salt on the road) I have a garden sprayer that I keep loaded with distilled water to hit the rocker panels and wheel wells etc., then just walk away. Distilled water won't spot.

^^

Werd on the carwash. Dirty brushes, lousy soaps/waxes, scratches and swirls everywhere!

and while distilled water wont leave waterspots, it will still collect dust in the air and leave DIRT spots!

In my own garage. My cars will never see the inside of a commercial car wash.

ps. The above thread was made with "tongue in cheek" but it's really the way I do it.
