another vote for ONR (optimum no rinse wash)... I've used QEW, ONR, and DP 4in1 and all do the job. I prefer ONR though cause it seems to be a more concentrated solution than the other two so you get more washes per bottle. Also, if your car is too dirty, first take it to a coin-op place and rinse it off first before using a rinseless wash back at home.

I have seen cars with peeling paint. That problem has NOTHING to do with car wash soap and anyone who tells you it does has absolutely 100% no idea what they're talking about.
Peeling paint is from people NOT taking proper care of their paint (i.e. washing and waxing it).
Also, your paint is probably swirled to heck if you just hose it down and wipe it off with a shammy.
