I've got a stack of LC pads. The flats do more work than the CSS ones. I prefer 5.5, but that's personal preference. Never tried the Uber or Meguiars pads, but the meguiars are a pretty hot item at the moment.

Those are flex pads. If anyone wants to try them with the PC (or has a flex) I'd happily donate some if you cover shipping. They will not cut. The grey and blue are awesome for waxing though! That extra inch makes a ton of difference. <have fun fellas.

I just ordered a Groits Garage one. It has a lifetime warranty, more powerful motor. Some guy's PC head just snapped too, onto the hood of his GT500. Ouch.

I strongly believe it was a freak accident. PC has been around forever, but with there move to Mexico the QC has went down. Don't let the negative hit you without looking for positive post about the PC as well. Go to page 3 and see what Mike Phillips has to say. He knows his stuff!

Here's another thread and there are more: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/...424-broke.html

For $30 more (the PC doesn't come with a backing plate, the GG does), GG seemed like the right choice for me. I would have loved the Flex, but couldn't justify it.

If you've never tried a flex do it before you pull the trigger on one. I hate them! Personal preference.

I skimmed that thread heavily and maybe I missed it, or I'm illiterate but the OP didn't specify what happened to his PC, just that it broke.

Ya know, he just said "apart" and didn't say otherwise when others said broken shaft, so I'm not 100%, so here is another one with a confirmed broken shaft to make up for my lazy link: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/...ble-broke.html
