Polished the tail pipes

Default Polished the tail pipes

Every time I was my car, I try to always wash the muffler tip as well, but I was never really happy with the way it looked. Today I finally removed them and polished them separately.

Here are the things that I used (I also used a 10mm wrench to get them off, not pictured):



Before pictures:




After soaking in soapy water for over an hour:



After scrubbing with a brush:




After applying Sonus Glass and Chrome Polish:

Nice!! Its good to see that someone spends as much time cleaning the exhaust tips as me.

Nice! I did this a few months ago and started a thread on my process as well. It really makes a big difference IMO and maintaining the tips afterward is a little easier.

Pipes look cleaner before scrubbing or is that just an illusion from the shadows?

That's great! I always get under the car to clean mine, but I think you've just inspired me to take mine off this weekend.
