Default Polish for wheels, exhaust tips?

Does polishing (Zaino, or any other product) the wheels inhibit the collection of brake dust and grime?

Do any of you use anything on your exhaust tips?

i use chrome polish on the exhausts and finish first (similar to zaino) on the wheels (have only used it once). wheels are very easy to care for. i wipe them off at the most once a week... usually with the same rag that i use to clean the windshields. they get washed with a brush usually with a separate bucket but the same car soap that the car gets.

I use Never Dull on the tips. Some people have used Windex, WD-40. etc.

Does Zaino work as well on the exhaust tips as chrome polish?

What ever you use on your paint will work. Just like the car, make sure the surface is clean before you apply it. On my waxed mags, I spray a Meguiar's Quik detailer on a Microfiber towel and then wipe off the brake dust. I also wax the exhaust tips and the black soot just wipes off. It keeps them looking like new.

Any wheel can benefit from having Zaino applied, and it does reduce the build up of brake dust by making the surface slicker and less prone to the dust sticking, it also makes for easy washing off of the brake dust over time. You can maintain your wheels after washing them with the Z-6 spray also.

Zaino is not an abrasive polish like chrome and metal polishes so it will not restore the shine of exhaust tips but can be applied in the same manner on the tips as I described on the wheels above to reduce carbon build up.
