Plastic rear window
The rear window of my now one year old S became pock-marked and fogged on the INSIDE after just a few operations. It has steadily gotten worse and looked really c----y. I recently cleaned it with 3M plastic cleaner but with only about 50% success so it needs a lot more work. Has anyone else had this problem and, if so, how did they solve it? Like what to use and where to get it? To even REACH the rear window on the inside it helps if you're a professional contortionist (or you could try using a small child on a stick)! Has anyone explored replacing the plastic window with a glass window from the 2002 model or, if that's not possible, replacing the entire top? Cost? feasibility, who would do it? etc. Any thoughts on this? My other car's a WRX and I also ride a 1988 Honda GT Hawk 650 (fastest of the three by far).

Plexis. for the rear window seems to be the best.
But I have found that any cleaner wax will work wonders, as with plexus you simply must work at it for some time. Mine was fogged up so bad you could not see out the back. It took 45 minutes to scrub the plastic but it looks like I went out and had it replaced.
I personally use magiur's cleaner as I got a small bottle with my clay bar and it works very well. Just use a lot of the stuff though then buff out the window. The window will soak up a lot of wax and your towal will get quite dirty. Try to focus on the areas that look like they have vertical scratches first and use a very heavy action.
Good luck and more trouble just ask.

Try the Meguair's #17 Clear Plastic Cleaner to remove the scratches, then follow with #10 Clear Plastic Polish. I was surprised at the results.
For regular cleaning, stick with a product designed for plastic, like Plexus or Plasti-Clear.

I use the 3M Plastic Cleaner and Plastic Polish. One pass with the cleaner and polish will remove all of the haze. You need to make sure that you don't get the polish or cleaner on the softop because it is a pain to remove the stains caused by them.
