Pitting on Volks

Pitting on Volks
My MS Volks are showing light pitting on the front wheels, more so the driver's side than passenger.
Is there anything I can use to improve the condition? It's very light around the lip.
Damn Honda and their dusty ass brake pads! There was only one (past few weeks, but the car has been driven less than 50 miles since November) period I didn't wipe off the wheels after driving and never noticing before, I decided to examine them closely and found a problem.
Any suggestions?
I don't want to dump these as they have a perfect offset for the car.

1. dont use an acid based cleaner (they can cause pitting!!)
2. do use something mild like the p21s wheel cleaner. and you might need a wheel brush.
you dont want to use acid based cleaners because if they happen to dry at all, they will pit. if your pits are really "cratered" into the steel, you are prob outta luck... if they are really are light pitting, then first try the p21s. if that doesnt get it, try a paint cleaner or swirl remover. if that does not improve the condition, you can go more aggressive polish or give up. if it does improve then you can prob improve it further with more aggressive polish.
no matter what, be sure to put some good protection on your wheels. they have (or at least used to have) a clear coat on them.
btw, if you have some pics- close ups we might be able to tell how bad your problem is-

Thanks for the reply.
Where's the best place to order P21s?
I usually use Zaino on the wheels. I think the problem is when I was living in Florida temporarily, I didn't have a decent wheel brush, so I used a dedicated mitt. Might not have been enough. I did use a carnuba when I needed to get them spotless quickly after washing.
I'll post a pic tomorrow. It is very light and quite hard to see even up close, but I'd like to correct/prevent this ASAP. It is in just one spot, maybe 1/2 inch long by 1/4 inch wide.
There are one or two "pits" around the edge, but those may be chips.
I'll try a swirl remover first tonight.
