Default Pinnacle Vs Wolfgang Products

Ok so i narrowed it down to these two companies. After years of using the wrong/cheap stuff. i finally did a some seraching i found the autogeek.net website and began reading up on all the product by name.

The two that really stuck out to me was, Pinnacle and Wolfgang stuff. My question to everyone here is, does anyone have any experience with these companies? whats the better between the two? and maybe any other advice on them would help.

Im pretty much looking for a good wax and sealant. As far as soap i already have the Poorboys SS&S and love it. also i have 3M perfect-it scratch and swirl remover that i have not tried yet. i also want to make sure that i can use these waxes and sealants with the 3M perfect-it.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But aren't they are actually the same company?

As far as product quality for both, I wouldn't know.

yup, they created the dp products and wolfgang series and are co-owners of pinnacle.

they are all fine... and can be used after the 3m glaze (which i like for light swirls on black cars- nothing to do with my car being in one of their ads!!)

btw, dont recall any recent product reviews on wolfgang or pinnacle- so if you use one of them post up your experience and pics! they are both decent products (too long since i have used them or seen them being used to comment)

an older (but very good) wolfgang review:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry6379026

my recollection is that ubetit has used pinacle, and maybe either he or someone else can comment on that one.

Some thoughts on Wolfgang and Pinnacle. They make two of my favorite products. If you want the wettest looking and slickest surface polymer on the market I think Wolfgang wins easily. I buy it by the gallon and split it into 16 ounce bottles for the local guys. It may not last quite as long as a Zaino but most of us wax so often it doesn't matter. Towels fall off the hood after you use Wolfgang because it is so slippery.

I use Pinnacle Souveran often to top my Wolfgang. Souveran is pricey but it looks very wet, it smells great and is easy to use. It will melt in your hand. I use Souveran to blend into custom waxes that i call frankenaubas. My favorite so far is 60% p21s, 20% Meg's 16 and 20% Souveran.

I'm trying the new Pinnacle carnauba right now, XMT 180 high gloss carnauba. It smells like grapes and seems comparable to an S100.

Actually PBMA is the sole owner of the Pinnacle brand now. They used to co-own the brand with CMA, but have since bought out CMA's interest in Pinnacle. This is why CMA came out with their Fire & Ice combo. It was meant to compete directly with Pinnacle & Wolfgang.
