Why would you not buy one off of ebay for $80? Is there a mail-in warranty card that Porter Cable requires with a receipt or anything? I can get one $95 shipped on there. Just asking because I have been looking for one of these a while. Thanks!

Now, If your closest lowes didn't have it on sale, maybe I would go ebay. Just depends on that seller I guess.

I would rather drive to lowes then deal with ebay, the 8 dollar savings isn't that important to me.
I would rather you remove his left testicle, then his right testicle.

SCORE!! I spent half the day on Thursday calling all the Lowes in South Florida and ended up talking to a really nice lady by the name of Bonnie. She said she had one left but at regular price, and she told me to call on the weekend to see if it went on sale. Well, I called today and she happened to answer the phone, she said it was still regular price, she then asked what the other stores have them at. I said 60-80 bucks. She then tells me "Ok, I'll mark it at $80 and I'll leave it here for you.
I drove for about 2 hours in traffic, picked it up and used a Home Depot coupon for 20% off on top of that.
$64 out the door!

Thanks for this thread. I picked one up in Austin for $89 and also had a Home Depot coupon to apply on top of that.
Next step is to get some pads and figure out how to use it. :-)

I had been on the fence about a PC but saw this thread and went ahead and got one. I was actually at Lowe's looking at air compressors. It ran just under $109 in Louisiana tax included. I guess the price varies quite a bit. They only had 5 or 6 left so I didnt want to miss out.
Gonna use my beater Altima with scratched black paint to learn on...lol

a few tips:
small areas, front to back (or side to side, but always finish front to back), low speeds in the beginning, start and stop the machine while making contact with the paint, dont push down hard on the machine (its weight will do the job pretty much), cord over the shoulder, wear sweats without zippers...
post up pics-
and have fun!!

If your lowes has the PC for 100 bucks on sale, why not just go to lowes and pick it up? If I knew I could get it for $103.01 after tax,
After following this thread, I'm liking the $45 I paid for mine more and more!
