Default PC 7424

Just ordered a 7424 from Amazon, good deal with a 10% discount and free shipping. Now I need "expert" adive on what pads to order. Reviews seem to say the porter cable pads leave a lot to de desired. Who's had good luck and with what pads. I am using this on a berlina blavk s2k

lake country or sonus seem to be the most popular here...

to answer your question we need to know what you will be doing with the machine (which procedures)- if you know that (i know that there is a chance that you are brand new to this and do not know the choices, but it would be helpful to us to know your background and use to answer your q).
and are you new with the machine?

btw, there is a free guide to the pc here:

or better yet... they gave me permission to link you to this:

Yes brand new to this machine. Like the fac that supposedly you can't ruin your paint. I plan on using a good cleaner and then use Zymol Japon wax as my final stage

If you haven't purchased a kit yet... I'd highly recommend giving the edge 2000 pads a look. Costs a bit more per pad but since you get two sides of polishing goodness definately worth the money... plus if you happen to brush the top of the pad against something... no damage since it's double sided. Only negative is that the adaptor only works with edge 2k pads.

I think you should give STRONG consideration to the Edge 2000 system. Check them out at Edgepads.com. I was detailing my girlfriend's car today and had the velcro backing unglue from the pad for the umpteenth time and this was only the 2nd time I'd used this pad. I am SO over velcro pads now. I think I may be getting the E2K pads as a gift soon. Otherwise, I'd be ordering them up right now.

Got Edge2000 pads on Mikey's recommendation. They work great, purchased the kit of five pads, adapter, spray conditioner and spray cleaner from Autogeek.com.

Great deal.
