Paint on my mirrors are faded
Over the past few years I've noticed the paint on my side mirrors increasingly fading...I've never done more than a hand polish an wax on my car and while it does help a lil it still doesn't quite have the same luster and color the rest of the car has.
A year ago I had some quarter panel damage that needed fixed and one bodyshop i went to wanted to respray the mirrors while it was in their shop stating they were pretty far gone, just wondering if this was necessary or if some work with a good polish and a orbital polisher would be enough.
I'll try an get pics up later, camera sux an seems to drain batterys without even being used.

Wow. That's pretty faded.
This *looks* similar to what happened to a Milano Red Integra GS-R I had a few years ago. The spoiler, mirrors, and bumpers had sort of gone pink. I eventually learned that Milano red was actually a pinkish basecoat, with a purple clearcoat, to end up with red. Is NFR the same way?

I think they tint the clear on NFR. I detailed a '00 NFR back in April and had color transfer on the pad, which led me to believe tinted clear.
Polishing them is definitely worth a try. If Roger and I are right that the clear is tinted on NFR, then those mirrors probably need respraying anyway. Who knows, polishing them might make them look much better than they do.

Man doesn't sound good, been wanting to get a polisher and some stuff, just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Would this plague the whole car eventually?

Reds are, IME, the most prone to fade. But, I can't say that I've noticed a disproportionately large amount of fading on NFR S2000s, either.
