Default OTHER than 303, what to use on the top?

Fellow Clean freaks,

I've exhausted my search for 303 locally, and need to know what an alternative might be. I have some Formula 2001 protectant downstairs, but was reluctant to use it on the top. My search for other products yeilded no results, so I turn now to the forum for an answer. What else can I use on my top that is available at an auto parts store? (Meguairs, Armorall, etc.) I should add I'm not looking for anything that will give the top a "shiny" or "greasy" look. A nice satin gloss would be great. Thanks in advance for the help.

Before getting the 303 i went to Checkers. they had a convertible top protectant there. I don't have the brand now but I'll post later.

You can always order online.

properautocare.com ships very very fast. I've never found anything that comes close to the quality of 303 cleaner and even moreso the protectant.

Yeah, properautocare.com worked great for me too.

Have you tried a boat supply store? I found 303 and plexus @ West Marine here. According to their site, there's a store in Philly so you might want to check it oue.

Thanks for the replies guys. I might have to try that website and get it from them. I know everyone raves about this stuff, and I've never owned a convertible before, so I guess I'll have to give it a try. Also, DaveZ, thanks for looking into the location of that marine equipment store for me. Way beyond the call of duty, but much appreciated!

All of the Porsche cabriolet cleaners and protectants I've seen are for fabric tops.

I think the Cabio has a better finish. It's shiny, but is made for canvas.

IMO, 303 doesn't do much for looks, only protection.
