Default Ok - I'm an idiot! Leather cleaning :(

Hi everyone

Ok - I'm an idiot.

Using megs leather cream I've overdone it and filled quite a few of the small hole perforations in the leather.

How can I sort this out as the seats now look awful!!

I've tried letting it dry and using a vac, made a bit of difference but not massive amounts.

Have tried zymol leather cleaner spray and this didn't really help either.

Even if I seem to be able to get the white from out of the holes, it seems to still be sitting 'under' the leather too so when you press down on it they look white again

HELP!!!

Is it a case of going over every hole with a neadle or something?!

toothpicks are your friend. Try a nice leather brush and a tiny bit of water. then wipe dry with a MF towel.

and the prevention from this happening next time:

i wipe down the "non-whole" parts of the leather first with plenty of product... then the excess is off- and i do the "whole" part of the leather. this keeps stuff outta the holes.

after toothpicking, i would use a good vac- be careful not to use too much suction (if you have a machine that can adjust the suction, try a lower level and gradually increase it until you find a good setting), but the vac will get a lot of the loose stuff.

I'm interested in what leather products that the folks here recommend for the care of the leather upholstery in their S2000s. What do you use?

Lexol is good. Our sponsor sells some really nice leather care products as well.
