Is it ok to dry My S2K after it rains?
well first off, I wanna thank wanabe for givin me advice on how to detail my car when my friend didnt finish my car and all the swirl marks and compound were still there. my friend and i washed it, put 3 coats of 3m swirl remover, 3 coats of caruba wax, and 2 coats of cleaner wax and gave it a good buff...it came out immaculate!! i will post pics soon. anyway, the next night it rained so i was wondering if i could dry the car off. does it hurt anything? thanks

i would not dry a car after rain unless the rain was very light, the paint very clean and you are sure that you dont have any grit on the car of any kind. safest is to rewash the car. especially since you just did a swirl removal!
to dry it you have a risk of swirls and light scratches if there is anything on the paint when you dry it.

I question your use of cleaner wax after carnuba ...
You are removing the carnuba !!
Use the cleaner wax for polishing and follow with carnuba to "wax".

Well, for your future growth into our obsession, anything that says "cleaner" in it is intended to strip older stuff, grime, very minor swirls/scratches etc. Doing 2 coats is a little silly since the 2nd probably took off the first.
Cleaner wax is not a bad thing or idea but we like to keep you from wasting your time

Thank your friend for the help this time but find someone that knows what they are doing next time.
Swirl remover doesn't apply in coats. You work the clear coat in an area with it until the swirls are removed and then you move onto another section. Once that is done wash the car and make sure it's all off of the paint.
No need for a cleaner wax since you used swirl remover and wax. Cleaner waxes are one-step products used to clean, polish and wax a car in one step. They do a mediocre job at all three and will remove anything that was applied before it, including itself.
Caranauba can't be layered like a synthetic so there's no reason to do 3 coats. 2 coats may only gaurantee you didn't miss a spot the first time around.

I'm glad you got the results you wanted, but I think you put way more effort than necessary.
Multiple coats aren't usually necessary or recommended. You'll just end up wasting product.
I also would recommend washing your car after it rains. Some people might say you can get away with using a quick detail spray and a microfiber towel after it rains, but you run the risk of reintroducing swirls or fine scratches to your paint.
