Default OEM Front Lip Install

Should I wax the area before install or not?

I did. As long as the double sided tape is already installed which I think it is. You'll want to wipe the area of the bumper that will meet this tape with some alcohol to remove any wax or grime that might be present.

I would not wax it. It would adversely affect the adhesive on the tape. I would use body solvent or IPA 50/50 mixed wipe down before. Maybe even claying the area.

He can wax the lip because the tape is already atttached but he does need to clean the area on the bumper where this tape will fasten itself. Really no need to wax the underside of the lip anyway since it never be seen.
